Property Market Heats Up Despite Winter Chill
Property prices are climbing to record highs, interest rates are on hold (for now), and buyer demand remains strong. In June, national home values rose 0.6%, driven by earlier rate cuts and tight housing supply.

The RBA held the cash rate at 3.85% in July, surprising many economists who expected a cut based on softer inflation figures:
The RBA board was split, with 6 voting to hold and 3 for a cut. Governor Bullock said the board is aligned on direction but divided on timing. All Big Four banks expect a cut in August, pending Q2 inflation data.
Home Values Continue to Rise
June marked the fifth straight month of growth in home values. According to Cotality (formally RPData):
